Nicole Nabors is a Clinical Therapist. She specializes in grief & trauma. She is the author of Dance Again: My Journey to Healing. Before her career in Behavioral Health, Nicole served in the United States Navy, becoming a two-war veteran. Nicole served in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) & Operation Enduring Iraqi Freedom (OEIF). In the community, Nicole serves as a board member of the Rochester Spinal Cord Association, where she advocates for individuals who have been paralyzed by gunshots, like herself. Nicole is a speaker and teacher who captivates audiences with transparency and vulnerability that inspires. Locally, she speaks at colleges and conferences and conducts workshops. Nationally, Nicole has addressed the Commission of Civil Rights in Washington, D.C., to advocate for gunshot victims. Nicole addressed the National Association of Christian Social Work (NACSW) to advocate and educate professionals on domestic violence.
Nicole is utilizing her skills to help the people systemic programs fail to reach. Her goal is to bring light where there is darkness, love where there is hate, joy where there is sorrow, peace where there is pain, and healing where there is brokenness. She believes we cannot control what happens to us, but we can help one another to make things easier and more pleasant in this life.
